The hostel is conveniently located near Ueno Park, making it a great base for exploring this beautiful area. It is also close to train stations, providing easy access to all of Tokyo's attractions and even the Narita airport. The friendly staff are always ready to assist you with any needs or questions you may have.

The common areas could use some updating to match the quality of the rooms.

Spacious rooms with comfortable beds, private bathroom with shower. Close to train stations, excellent nearby restaurants and a lovely market. Convenient pantry with hot water and fridge. Friendly staff and not too crowded. Great location connected to Narita Airport by train, shopping malls and bars.

I had a great stay at the recently renewed Ueno Youth Hostel. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the train station and metro. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing me with a map and printing out directions for me. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Despite some minor issues with the wifi, I enjoyed hanging out in the lounge area. The hostel also had convenient amenities like a fridge and water boiler on each floor. I highly recommend this hostel for a budget-friendly and convenient stay in Tokyo.

Very friendly staff who always try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Convenient amenities such as a computer, printer, washing machine, and dryer at reasonable prices.- Great location, just a minute walk from the subway station.- Good view from the rooftop.- a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

The USB charging station above one bed did not work. The corridors were quite narrow and hard to pass through.

Our stay at the renovated Ueno Youth Hostel was fantastic! The location was convenient, with the JR station just a short 10-minute walk away. We loved that there were Family Mart and Lawson stores nearby for quick snacks and necessities. The common room was a great hangout spot, complete with a TV, microwave, hot water, and even free tea and miso soup. The bunk beds in the clean rooms were cozy, and the small bathroom maintained its cleanliness. Despite the size, the hostel staff were friendly and the internet connection was fast. I highly recommend this hostel for its cleanliness, affordability, and convenient location.
